New name for Star Payroll Professional
Star Computers Limited joined forces with IRIS Software Group in May 2018. Since then, we’ve continued providing best in class payroll software to bureaux, schools and businesses.
As part of Star’s evolution within IRIS Software Group, we will be rebranding Star Payroll Professional to IRIS Payroll Professional. This change will take affect from 1st May 2019 and will not impact any functionality changes. However, we realise you may have some questions which are answered below. Please contact your account manager if you need further clarity.
What does it mean for me as a customer?
We will continue to provide high levels of service, as we embrace our new brand. There are no changes to your contacts or support team, and they will be available on the same phone numbers. Our email addresses will be changing shortly.
What does it mean for my payroll software?
Please be assured we will continue to invest in Payroll Professional and follow our current development plans to meet your future needs. In the coming months, you’ll notice some cosmetic changes including a new colour scheme and logo in your software. You will also see IRIS branding in our communications and on the website.

With the IRIS brand, resources and marketing might, you can be assured of complete peace of mind for your payroll software.
What do I do if I want to increase my Star licence?
The upgrade process has evolved so you will now be asked to sign an order form. Once this has been returned, it will be processed within 36 hours. Please contact your account manager in the normal way to receive the order form.
Are there any changes to the development plan you have previously shared?
No, we are continuing with the same development plan. Payroll Professional is a strategic product within the IRIS payroll portfolio.

From 1st May, you will continue to receive Invoices from Galaxy Payroll Limited
Do I need to sign a new contract?
No. Your current contract is with Galaxy Payroll Limited and you will continue to receive invoices under that name. You will see the Star logo removed from your invoice and an IRIS logo replacing it.
Will we still be supported by the team in Brighton?
Yes. We will carry on delivering high quality support from the same support team based in our Brighton office, using the same phone number – 01273 715300.
Will there be a Payroll conference this year?
IRIS Software Group holds an annual customer conference, IRIS World. The main event is held in London, with smaller events across the UK. The conference is an opportunity to discover the full range of products and services offered, as well as attend specific Payroll workshops to focus on the more technical aspects of our Payroll services.
What is our new name?
Our corporate name IRIS Software Group. The name of our product will be Payroll Professional.
What is the logo?
We will adopt the IRIS logo as the corporate brand. The product brand design will remain for now although the colours may change.
How do we refer to ourselves?
From 1st May 2019, we will be known as IRIS Software Group.
Are your email addresses changing?
Yes. Our email addresses will be changing shortly and we will let you know the details. The support email address will also change.
Please warn your IT department of the imminent change as they will need to add the domain to your safe senders list.
Are the website URLs changing?
The corporate, support and helpdesk websites will embrace the new brand and will be changing in the next few weeks.
